First, let me tell you about my friend Lucy, who makes the Geneva Springs skin products.
Lucy is a Dairy Maid, meaning she and her family run a dairy farm. Since they are hard working farmers, they tend to have dry, cracked, and rough skin. That happens with most people who work outside and use their hands A LOT. Well, somewhere in the 1980s, Lucy got hold of a recipe for homemade skin cream. She tried it, and it seemed to work on their skin. It moisturized and helped them maintain healthy skin so they could get their work done without having painful cracked and bleeding fingertips and hands.
Lucy shared some of the hand cream she made with close friends and family. Soon, she developed a small business out of it. People kept asking for it and buying it and business grew. Slowly, Lucy made some improvements to the recipe (like adding essential oils) and now has a wonderful skin cream that will help maintain healthy, moisturized skin. She has since also developed lip balms, bath salts, and handmade soap to complement the skin creams.
Lucy says, "Our skin cream seems to have good results with rashes, sunburns, other burns, bug bites, cracked feet, dark crusty elbows, etc. It has helped some people with psoriasis and eczema. We are continually learning about the effects the cream has."
Also, "The skin is the largest organ of our body. Whatever goes on it goes in it. Dermatologists and an Electro Dermal Technician have looked at our products. So far, we have gotten positive results. We consider our cream a health product for the skin. It hydrates and heals."
